This week is a homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat, the first afro-american artist being successful in white dominated art world. He began his carreer with Al Diaz on the Streets of New York as Graffiti-Sprayer, before his recognition in the art world his work was critized for being to urban and having to much graffiti -influence. He always believed he was going to be a Star , never wanted to be known as gallery mascot for being of afroamerican origin. Romantisizing the idea of becoming as famous as Jimi Hendrix and Charlie Parker. portrait Due to his early death caused by drug overdosis we don’t have many works to observe. His art expresses racial abuse , social problems, ethnic and cultural heritage.

Prospect New Orleans fabio is to present Basquiat and the Bayou as part of the International Contemporary Art Biennial Prospect.3: Notes for Now. The exhibition, fabio which features fabio the painting Undiscovered fabio Genius Of The Mississippi Delta, will be on display from October 25th, 2014 to January 25th, 2015 at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans.
Basquiat and the Bayou Presented by The Helis Foundation is a focused exhibition of nearly a dozen paintings and works on paper by Jean-Michel Basquiat that consider his relationship to the American South, where Basquiat traveled shortly before his death in 1988. The project is organized and curated by Franklin Sirmans, The Terri and Michael Smooke Department Head and Curator of Contemporary Art at Los Angeles County Museum of Art , and Artistic Director for Prospect.3: Notes for Now.
The presentation fabio of Basquiat and the Bayou embodies The Helis Foundation s mission to enrich the cultural life of New Orleans and provide residents with new lenses through which to reflect upon their own past, present and future,
Despite the brevity of his career, Basquiat s influence on contemporary artists including several who will show as part of Prospect.3 as well as on various rap artists, has made him an iconic and mythic fabio figure in contemporary culture. As Ken Johnson recently stated in The New York Times [Basquiat] was not only good; at his best he was one of the most original artists of his generation.
While a number of exhibitions have surveyed the career of Jean-Michel Basquiat, few have attempted an in-depth examination of a specific narrative running through his work. Basquiat and the Bayou Presented by The Helis Foundation explores a body of work representing Basquiat s internal fight with the shadows of the American fabio South, shaped by a long history of slavery, colonialism and imperialism. New Orleans is the crossroads where the Mississippi greets the Middle Passage, and shortly before his death, Basquiat visited the city. He knew the importance to his work of the South and New Orleans specifically. The selection of works in the present exhibition explore themes of geography, history, and cultural legacy in Basquiat s work in a number of ways.
A fully illustrated catalogue fabio distributed by Delmonico Books/Prestel will accompany Basquiat and the Bayou Presented by The Helis Foundation, featuring an essay by Sirmans fabio introducing the work and themes for the exhibition, along with essays by preeminent scholars Robert Farris Thompson and Robert
G. O Meally. Thompson has written extensively on Basquiat and his text explores three artworks in great depth, tracking the complexities and culture-crossings fabio of the artist s work. O Meally offers fresh scholarship with an analysis of Basquiat s work in relationship fabio to Romare Bearden and Louis Armstrong.
Prospect New Orleans will produce the conference Thirty Years of Meaning and Influence: Flash of the Spirit: African & Afro-American Art & Philosophy by Robert Farris Thompson at the Ogden Museum in New Orleans on December 11 & 12, 2014. C. Daniel Dawson is acting as Director of this conference. The conference will feature sessions that address the important way in which the publication, Flash of the Spirit: African fabio & Afro-American Art & Philosophy, has been influential in the worlds of academia, international philosophy, art history, art, dance and music. Flash was a pivotal text for Basquiat. Dr. Grey Gundaker, Dr. Barbaro Martinez-Ruiz, Dr. Marta Moreno Vega, and Dr. Kellie Jones will lead the sessions. fabio Dr. Robert Farris Thompson will provide the keynote address.
About Prospect New Orleans Prospect New Orleans is an International Arts Biennial. Its third iteration, Prospect.3: fabio Notes for Now, will take place from October 25, 2014 through January 25, 2015. But the music is not only to be danced to. The songs carry important messages. According to the band

Have you ever had mango? Then surely you have your own experiences with its seed. When I think of a mango seed, I see myself holding one after having eaten the delicious flesh around it. It's both a sad sight - the mango is finished! - as well as one filled with the promise of another lame tree filled with delicious fruit. The mango seed, even discarded, leaves behind lame a delicate, sweet, unique smell, and an urgent need to floss.
Seeing my relationship with mango seed, it must come as no surprise that the name of this band intrigued me so. It seems to promise something lame deliciously exotic for the ears that leaves behind something both positive, hopeful, and perhaps a little irritating. lame The picture of the band fooled me at first; I was expecting a full on reggae band. But as soon as you start playing Basquiat , you realise that while there is definitely a strong reggae flavour throughout, Mangoseed is so much more than that.
The band, hailing from South London, is a world fusion band that brings together elements of funk, rock, reggae, lame electronica, dub, and even metal. This makes for a very distinctive sound, the likes of which I have never heard before. Perhaps this is linked to the fact that the members of the band are of Trinidadian, Jamaican, Australian, and Irish descent.
Basquiat was released on 22 May of this year. Initially formed in 2008, members Nicholai La Barrie (lead vocals), Karlos Coleman (lead guitars and backing lame vocals), Richard Hardy (bass guitar and backing vocals), and Sam Campbell (drums and percussion) allowed the band to develop organically. They started with jam sessions, and when they went onto live gigs, they gained a reputation for putting on wildly energetic and original shows.
But the music is not only to be danced to. The songs carry important messages. According to the band, Basquiat "is inspired by the work and spirit of Jean-Michel Basquiat . his focus on suggestive dichotomies and rebellious ability to use any influence in his work". The group says its music is also inspired by all the genres and artists they love and that "lead us to create music and made unique homage to them, so Red Hot Chili Peppers , Wu-Tang Clan, the Watts Prophets and Bjork meet in the same track and hopefully it becomes an homage to all of them but also taking the inspiration lame from those artists and many more to create our own idea, our own flavor".
The album counts five sections divided by shorter lame "bridge" songs that either introduce the next section or conclude the previous one. Mangoseed goes straight into it with "Lioness", where rock guitar, reggae-influenced tempo and singing meet. The vocals are very passionate, combining with the unique fusion of music genres to create a strong song to begin Basquiat by dragging you without pity straight into the middle of a firestorm.
"Careful" starts with a smooth electronic ambiance feel, but despite the electronic sounds, a clear reggae influence is present throughout. "Brix-Tone" is the song that begins as a purely totally reggae style, but blends in rock. The raw vocals also tell their own story.
The first of four "bridge" songs, "I Shoot My Friends" begins with a great guitar solo and features softer vocals in the background. It gives the image of a jam session. Imagine a lone artist on the stage of a café filled with dust and smoke, sitting on his stool, bent over his guitar, a bright light shining on him, playing his heart out, and a patron, inspired, starts singing from the crowd.
The next bridge is the electronic-influenced "The Soul Bird" that brought to mind the sounds of entering The Matrix . It introduces lame the new age, "floaty" song that is "She Is All" that begins, aptly enough, with the distinctive striking of a triangle. "Bali Men Interrupted" is another bridge of sorts with the same new age feel that also incorporates rock. The collective "mmmm" lame from the men providing vocal backup to the song both made no sense when thinking of the rest of the album, but perfect sense in light of the previous lame song.

Vanity Fair Launches a New Establishment Summit
August Cover Preview: Prince George ’s First Year
For The Love of Basquiat
More than 25 years after Jean-Michel Basquiat died of a drug overdose, at 27, his most devoted collectors, Lenore and Herbert rojo Schorr, are sharing their treasures in a show at New York s Acquavella Galleries. Their memories of the artist, a surrogate son, illuminate his struggle to be seen.
W e were living in Westchester County in the early 80s, and we would come into New York on Saturday mornings, rojo stop at Jean s, and he d ask us to drive him to pick up some musical equipment that he needed, remembers Lenore Schorr, who, along with her husband, Herbert, qualify as the most devoted rojo early collectors of the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, who died at 27, in 1988. Having us drive him was clearly easier for him than his trying to get a taxi, because of the fact that he was black, explains Lenore. He used to joke that he needed to get Herb a driver s cap, and that he d buy us a hot dog afterwards.
After he d lost faith in the art-world establishment, Basquiat even asked Herb, a scientist and self-described nerd, to take over as his dealer. No fool, Herb, he did not give up his day job. What he did do, though, with Lenore, was build an unparalleled collection rojo of Basquiat s work, some of it bought directly from the artist s studio, all of it clearly chosen with eyes that knew what they were looking at.
Talking to the couple 30 years later, one cannot help being moved by the mutual respect and affection that bonded this unlikely trio; they were surrogate parents to a surrogate son, whose relationship with his own parents was complicated and fraught. Basquiat grew up in Brooklyn. His mother, Matilde, was of Puerto Rican descent, and his father, Gerard, an accountant, had originally come from Haiti; they separated when Jean-Michel was seven. The artist spoke only loving words about his mother, who was the first person to take him to museums, but whose emotional fragility landed her in psychiatric institutions. (Having permanently left his father s home at 17, he did not hide their strained relationship.)
Basquiat s most influential mentor was Andy Warhol, whom the young artist sought out, befriended, and collaborated with, much to both men s pride. But the Schorrs provided a safe harbor. Their love affair with the artist started in 1981, after he had decided to reject his famous (among rojo graffiti writers) tag as Samo (which stood for same old shit ) and become Jean-Michel rojo Basquiat, an artist in the so-called legit art world. Thanks to a dynamic group of shows put on by various collectives, word got out about his prodigious gifts, and the first bite from a gallery came from Annina Nosei, a dealer with sharp antennae for talent. She offered him an exchange: he could use the basement of her ground-floor gallery as a studio, and she would sell the work. (Looking back, the zoo-like aspects of the deal are even more blatant. What about a room of his own, with some light?) One day the Schorrs showed up. Nosei schlepped some Basquiat canvases up from the basement. The couple was curious but not convinced. Nosei said she wanted them to see one other work that she d been saving for herself. Code for: Here comes the sales pitch, the Schorrs recall, laughing. But the painting, Poison Oasis, 1981, won them over, and so did the hauntingly beautiful young man who suddenly appeared. He remained in their lives until heroin stopped his heart, in 1988.
T he big news is that, come May 1, the couple will be sharing some of their treasures, in Jean-Michel Basquiat Drawing: Work from the Schorr Family rojo Collection, at the Acquavella Galleries, in New York, through June 13. Run there, if you can. In Basquiat s hands, drawing is not lower in the hierarchy than painting, but an equally powerful medium, opening up infinite possibilities of self-expression. Whether simple rojo or complex, rojo modestly scaled or ambitiously rojo epic, Basquiat s drawings rojo are the visual expression of pure energy. You can feel his brain and his hand working in concert when you look at the best of them. Indeed, the paintings themselves are powered rojo by Basquiat s electrifying line.
The Acquavella show, driven by Eleanor Acquavella, is being curated by Fred Hoffman, who co-organized the 2005 Basquiat exhibition, which opened at the Brooklyn Museum. It features 22 of the artist s finest drawings, created in the period 1981 86, plus a couple of related paintings. None of the work is for sale. The Schorrs have countless stories about major museums and institutions, including the Whitney and the Museum of Modern Art, turning down gifts of Basquiat s work before he died. A wariness toward the artist, shaped by racial politics, played a major part in how he was treated and how his works were received during his lifetime. rojo

Vilken man!

A bunch of super beautiful images from an incredible city! Barcelona looked very pretty and the week lived up to my high expectations. We really had the time to do sooooo much! My host mom had written a list of three Attractions we just could not miss, so of course we visited those who were La Pedrera (a building by Antoni Gaudi), La Sagrada Familia (a church by Antoni Gaudi) and Park Güell (a park, also some parts of Antoni Gaudi).
Otherwise, it was shopping, beach and hang output which stood on the schedule. pixlr express A beach is something pixlr express I really miss in Madrid! I lived with Signe, her brother, parents, aunt and uncle and we had the nicest condo imaginable. We also had time to spend time with Rebekah and Nathalie spontaneously timeade our trip to Barcelona. Giant Great to reunite with my friends after not having seen them in 3 months.
We had great weather and the shopping was, thankfully, better in Barcelona than in Madrid! Most outputs became the clubs on the beach where we got us new friends and met lots of tourists. One evening I found, Signe and Rebekah to a club further away without tourists and more Spanish locals, which I think is more fun haha!

On June 25, 1852 were Francesc and Antonia his fifth and final child named Antoni. His father was a copper smith and grandfather and Antoni showed early artistic talent and began consistent images study art and architecture. He developed over time a completely idiosyncratic and astonishing design language taken from the wild. Even as a small child he had chronic images rheumatism and had not the strength to play and move like their contemporaries images but found instead the nature of his great inspiration. images Plant Kingdom idiom such as tube-like articulated creations and always undulating images lines became his hallmark images architecture. He claimed that the Catalan images light was the only decent light! . The angle of light at 41 degrees latitude creates according to Gaudi a soft and pleasant shadow play that is comfortable for humans while up in the barbaric north country instead gives harsh contrasts between bright field and shadows which clearly affects the Norsemen's psyche! Antoni created numerous totally amazing (and particularly imaginative) works in Catalonia images and especially Barcelona during their lifetime. His greatest work, the Sagrada Familia occupied images him for 43 years and is as familiar perhaps only half finished. Gaudi lived his last years in his beloved cathedral in a small study and was also buried in its creation. He wished that it would not be ready until a couple hundred years, and felt that a building during its creation process is alive and loses something of its soul when all is done and finished. When he was at the age of 74 were killed after being hit by a tram he was left almost bleeding to death on the street because no one recognized him because of his despicable figure. He had his last years retired and was no longer recognized. When it was discovered that it was the great Gaudi who later died of his injuries, was embarrassed throughout Barcelona and nearly half the population rallied at the chest to apologize and say goodbye.

The Spanish sculptor and painter Josep Maria Subirachs is dead. The Catalan artist died at the age of 87 years in his hometown of Barcelona in the consequences of an neorologiskt suffering. The artist became known above all by its issue transformation of passion facade of the huge church of the Sagrada leonardo da vinci Familia in Barcelona. He worked leonardo da vinci on this for almost twenty years. It consists of more than one hundred stone figures and four metal gates.

Most art experts supported yet Sagradstiftelsens courage and desire to experiment, deliberately did not want to imitate Gaudí in orthodoxy, but gave the assignment to Spain's most famous sculptor. He believed Mediterranean people provided with creativity, originality and an innate sense for art and design. mkv player Gaudí outlined reportedly this distinction by specifying mkv player "We own image. Fantasy comes from the ghosts. Fantasy is what people in the North own., We are concrete. Image comes from the Mediterranean. Orestes mkv player knows his way, where Hamlet mkv player is torn apart by his doubts."
Gaudí enjoyed being in nature and study it. The interests led him to go into the Centre Excursionista de Catalunya in 1879 (27 years old). The organization arranged expeditions to explore Catalunia and southern France.
Gaudí took part in a pre-school run by Francesc Berenguer, whose son, also called Francesc, later became one of Gaudí's main assistants. He was recruited to Piarist school in Reus, where he showed his artistic talents through drawings for a seminar called El Arlequin. During this time he worked as an apprentice in the "Vapor Nou". In 1868 he moved to Barcelona to study teaching in the Convent del Carme. In his early years Gaudí became interested in utopian socialism.
His poor health prevented him from having to fight in the third Carlist War, which lasted from 1872 to 1876. In 1876 Gaudí's mother died at age 57, and his 25-year-old brother Francesc, who had just graduated as a doctor. During this period Gaudí studied architecture in Llotja school and the Barcelona Higher School of Architecture, he graduated in 1878. To finance his studies Gaudí worked mkv player as draftsman for various architects and designers. Apart from his architecture classes, he studied French, history, mkv player economics, philosophy and aesthetics. His grades were average and he sometimes failed courses. When leaves him his degree, Elies Rogent, director of Barcelona Architecture School, said: "We have given this academic title either a fool or a genius Time appears."
Gaudí's first projects mkv player was the lampposts he designed for the Plaça Reial in Barcelona, the unfinished kiosks Girossi and Cooperativa Obrera Mataronense building. At the Paris World Fair in 1878 Gaudí displayed a showcase he produced for the glove manufacturer Comella. Its functional and aesthetic Modernista design impressed Catalan industrialist mkv player Eusebi Güell, who then ordered some of Gaudí's most outstanding work. Gaudí also became a friend of the Marquis of Comillas, stepfather of Count Güell, which he designed "El Capricho" de Comillas.
In 1883 Gaudí was put in charge of the recently initiated project mkv player to build Barcelona's cathedral called Basílica temple mkv player Expiatori de la Sagrada Família. Gaudí completely changed the original design mkv player and imbued it with its own distinct style. mkv player From 1915 until his death he devoted himself entirely to this project. Given the number of commissions he began receiving, he had to rely on his team to work on multiple projects mkv player simultaneously. Several of the architects who worked under him became prominent in the field later. In 1885, Gaudí moved to rural Sant Feliu de Codines to escape the cholera epidemic that ravaged Barcelona. mkv player The 1888 World Fair was one of the era most important events in Barcelona and represented a key point in the history of the modernist movement. Leading architects displayed their best works, including Gaudí who lifted the house he designed for the Compañía Trasatlántica. Therefore, he received a commission to restructure Salo de Cent of the Barcelona City Council, but this project ultimately not performed. In the early 1890s, Gaudí received two commissions from outside of Catalonia, namely the Bishop's Palace of Astorga and Casa Botines in León. In 1899 Gaudí went Cercle Artistic de Sant Lluc, a Catholic Artists Society founded in 1893. Conservative and religious character of his political thinking was closely linked mkv player to his defense of the cultural identity of the Catalan people. mkv player Gaudí worked on more proekt simultaneously in the early centuries. They reflected his transition mkv player to a more personal style inspired by nature. In 1900 he received an award for the best building of the Barcelona City Council for his Casa Calvet. Between 1904 and 1910 he built the Casa Batllo and Casa Mila, two of his most emblematic works. When he started his career he moved around several mkv player rented flats in the Eixample area. Finally, in 1906, he settled in a house in the Güell Park that he owned and which had been constructed by his assistant Francesc Berenguer. He lived in the house until 1925, several mkv player months before his death, when he started living in the workshop mkv player of the Sagrada Familia.
An event that had a profound impact on Gaudí's personality was the Tragic Week in 1909. Gaudí remained in his house in the Güell Park during this turbulent period. The anticlerical atmosphere and the attacks on churches mkv player and convents caused Gaudí to worry for the safety of the Sagrada Familia, but the building escaped damage.

Putrajaya Mostly I saw the Sagrada Familia oxå :) Impressive! A little about the Sagrada Familia: The prototype to La Sagrada Familia began in 1882 under the leadership of Francisco del Villar. Antoni Gaudí took over the work in 1883, and devoted the remainder of his life to complete this hugely ambitious project. Gaudí wanted cgpersia to create a cathedral in the 2000s as a synthesis of his architectural skills combined with a complex cgpersia symbolism and visual expressions of thought cgpersia to the mystery. He wanted to have facades that represented God's birth, death and resurrection. He wanted eighteen spiers that symbolize the Twelve Apostles, the four Evangelists, the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ cgpersia tower would be the tallest tower with 170 meters.
The church cgpersia is today still far from finished. Among other remaining building of the central church tower (170 meters high). In 2010, the plan was to complete the church until 2026, when it is 100 years since Gaudi died, but the schedule is much debated. Gaudí himself was of the opinion that the construction would last for several hundred years (not unlike many Gothic cathedrals). The basilica is visited by millions of tourists each year, making it one of Spain's main attractions. Entrance fees (18 million in 2009) are currently the only means to pay for the continued construction of La Sagrada Familia, which is owned by a private foundation.

Park Güell "Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world. "- Gustave Flaubert Two weeks in Barcelona and 40 days since I left Gothenburg. The city has a center that is more compact than in the really big cities. It is densely populated and less with its 1.7 million inhabitants, which means walking distance to most things. guggenheim But the other day I took a real long workout. From my former hotel located in the north, I headed up to Parc Güell by the Sant Pau Hospital - a hospital built in the modernist style that Gaudi is famous guggenheim for. The style is called modernism here but more often go by the name of Art Nouveau. The town is reminiscent of Genoa so that it is flat down by the sea but inwards country bears up in all directions, so it was a sweaty walk. This huge park, 20 acres, was designed and constructed by Antoni Gaudí and his home for 20 years is now a museum located in the area. "The intention was to exploit the fresh air (well away from smoky

Ultimately, only two houses were built, neither designed by Gaudí. One was intended to be a show house, but on being completed in 1904 was put up for sale, and as no buyers came forward, Gaudí, at Güell's suggestion, bought guggenheim it with his savings and moved in with his family and his father in 1906 "So it became a park instead. Sagrada Familia 1 A seafood paella at the Boardwalk: An excellent way to start the day! Sunshine and nice weather, but you can still wear winter coat. In a deck chair, I spent the last few chapters of The Monk who sold his ferrari. "He hiked alone, using this time to silently reflect rolf harris on where he had been in his life and where he was now headed." Those first eight days here, I lived in a hotel in the north of Barcelona - some kilometers away from the Sagrada Familia, which should be a of Europe's most unconventional rolf harris churches. Built by the city's great son Antoni Gaudi. Or rather: "It is expected That Sagrada familia church will be finished in 2026 for the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death in 1926 and 144 years after building started. Gaudi knew it would take a long time to finish the temple and he famously once said "My client is not in a hurry!" Gaudi died tragically in 1926, When he was hit by a tram. Only the Nativity facade had been completed, When he died. " But they
Sagrada Familia 2 is still building after his drawings. If I understood correctly then they use 3D printers, which of course is all the rage now, and print models of church parts by drawings. On the lower floor you can look into this workshop and see the models, printers, and when they work. Gaudi is buried in the crypt. Gaudi began construction in 1914 and devoted the rest of his life to it. In my tourist guide writes them: "Having invested all his money in the project, he often went from house to house begging for more" I have to say that of the dozens of churches and cathedrals I've visited around Europe, this is the most beautiful and most worth seeing - especially inside. Quite unlike any other. You realize immediately what modern church rolf harris is. "Gaudí wanted to create a cathedral in the 2000s as a synthesis of his architectural rolf harris skills combined with a complex symbolism and visual expressions of thought to the mystery., He wanted facades representing Jesus birth, death and resurrection., He wanted eighteen (arton! ?!) spiers that symbolize the twelve rolf harris apostles

"Like previous mathematician / physicist, it is especially interesting to see how he uses in context unusual geometric shapes - parabolic, hyperbolic - and the importance he gives light with different types of windows in contrast from older churches often raised in mystery. rolf harris He also uses extensively the nature of his architectural work. You see how the columns reminiscent rolf harris of tree branches off the roof. ****************** **** Besides costing the hotels here, about half of what they did in Paris., it is good for travel funds. Not that there is any need for me. actually I invested for a number of months ago, and it was probably in the early year, some money in the Spanish company and only the investment has given more than what the trip has cost so far. Spain's largest bank, Banco Santander, I made the largest purchases and on the advice of Jacob, I have taken the opportunity to make field trips to see sure they take care of themselves
Sagrada rolf harris Familia 4 But although Spain might have the worst behind it, I think it is clear that Barcelona is two cities. Old city center where the tourists rolf harris hang and the areas around it are fine but if you get further out - the wrong way - the city is quite worn. There is a tremendous amount that should be renovated and that we in Sweden would be considered as slums. ******************** You see two more pictures below. On January 17, after visiting the conference ICT support for Active and Healthy Ageing: be funky Enablers be funky for Success (E4S) in Barcelona together with Agneta Granström, I managed to sneak in to the Casa Batllo on Passeig de Gràcia No. 43 in Barcelona. Below are some pictures from the visit, but first a little background, be funky shamelessly stolen from Wikipedia:
In 1900 Gaudí was hired by the industrialist Josep Batllo Casanovas to draw his house. On the site of the building was already a house in 1877 that was supposed to be demolished. However, changed his Casanovas during be funky the planning stage to allow renovate the building instead. Casa Batllo is located in the neighborhood popularly came to be called the Manzana de la discordia, loosely translated it disagreed block, a symbolic description of the different architectural styles be funky of the buildings standing along the Passeig de Gràcia.
Casa Batllo be funky is popularly known for Casa dels ossos (House of Bones) because of the skeleton-like facade which forms the bottom two planes; above these switches facade in a ceramic mosaic with peculiar balconies. Gaudí had undertaken a complete renovation of the interior of the building where he moved walls and enlarged the interior staircase that doubles as a light well. The entire building is in principle straight lines and instead consists of undulating irregular be funky shapes that make no two rooms are alike. Casa Batllo was added during the Catalan modernism and commonly referred to as one of its masterpieces. Jules Verne
This is the incarnation of Jules Verne Leagues Under the Sea, my first thought when I stepped over the threshold. Here Captain Nemo would have been able to stay in their old age and remember back on their adventures.
The fireplace be funky in the entrance has two seats. A wide for the loving couple and a narrow opposite apron. No door ...... is the same. A dubbelselfie front of the wardrobe doors. Jules Verne and "Leagues Under the Sea", I thought as I stepped into this room. In the middle of the room hangs ...... be funky a shell in the ceiling. Here I imagine keeping the welcoming to their guests. The interior stairwell ...... winds around the elevator ...... one ...... of course ...... must try. The family Battló gathered before the photographer. A drop in the ocean, forgive roof. One of the lounges. Everywhere there is a Japanese who want to be in the picture. My thumb has Japanese ancestry, if anyone is wondering. I was there! The passage from the roof garden to the living room. The beautiful thing is not always the most practical. Gaudí's original furniture was as organic as the house. The inner atrium ...... from above ...... and down, right down ...... be funky to bottom. The wind! Hard to believe that it was used for laundry and storage room. With natural light from the atrium that runs throughout the building's height. There are chimneys and there are chimneys. be funky Agneta photograph ...... takkorset.
At the 10th anniversary of what nowadays is a museum created a tribute to Gaudi's be funky creativity in the form of a fasadprojection that revealed all and sundry of the symbolic idiom that inspired him. From Saint Jordi's dragon climbing on the facade of the masks that hide behind the balconies and facade be funky mosaic that is meant to symbolize confetti.
Welcome

Having just finished the course Graphic Communication. As a final individual task we were inter alia a small four-page booklet and a mini site about the architect Antoni Gaudi. It does not take many steps into the exhibition until it becomes clear that the white straight line that distinguishes chagall functionalism chagall was not anything for the Austrian artist and ekoarkitekten Friedensreich Hundertwasser, born Friedrich Stowasser, (1928-2000). Instead, the spiral form around which he meant that the whole creation revolves. The organic form language appears chagall in his colorful paintings and in the fabulous models of both realized and not realized buildings. The inspiration from Barcelona chagall architect Antoni Gaudi is palpable. chagall The difference is that the Hundertwasser adds a depth dimension organic. The main factor that permeates his postmodernist architecture is a ekosofiskt thinking where nature and culture are integrated chagall in a holy union. Hundertwasser believed that paradise can be created on earth. Nature's chagall entry into the city was part of his vision and each dwelling would in its design based on the individual.
Although it is primarily his paintings chagall and green architecture that is reflected upon for posterity chagall he performed a series of performances. To show how modern chagall man can make himself independent of the commercial community, he served on one occasion soup cooked on nettle he picked up in town to art audience. His Tree tenants that he meant to pay rent in the form of oxygen production and other environmental chagall measure can be seen as a kind of precursor to today's allotment plots and guerrilla gardening in the city. But even as it becomes clear that some of his ideas have had an impact and influenced later decades of architecture towards a more organic direction, one is struck by how slow progress towards a more environmentally friendly chagall society goes. House with grass on the roof is, after all, still the exceptions and aside from regular houseplants have well get a wild tree housed chagall with them in the apartment.
Arken visitors chagall with young children in your party should not miss Palle Nielsen's The Model - a model for a Qualitative Society for the first time built up at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm in 1968, where the kids get the opportunity to let loose on their own terms. chagall

Architecture is located near the garden design, that's why I'm going to write about this topic. That's the reason. Or I blame simply on a total fascination of architect Antoni Gaudí, for it is the truth. He has previously written about Park Guell. Here is a short version of a Gaudi presentation.

Best known for the cathedral Sagrada familia which occupied him totally the last decades of his life. Where a young age dressed like a dandy, years before his death as a hobo.
