BELUD CITY, Jan 11 - Plan of Action for the National Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) launched the first stage in Kota Belud involving 21 projects worth RM37.2 million for a period of three years starting this year.
Urban Wellbeing Minister of Housing and Local Government kugou Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan said of the total, 11 projects were 'Quick Wins' worth RM7.47 million which will be held this year in the county is nicknamed the name Cowboy District East.
"The ministry kugou will implement the provisions immediately and be completed this year, including projects to upgrade the drainage system in the town and the Centenary Complex Farmers' Market, a new car park, the upgrading of roads and fields and landmarks Kota Belud," he said.
Abdul Rahman said the ministry will also build an integrated bus terminal, multi-storey kugou car park and relocate the farmers market stalls centralized, night markets and small stores as well as the upgrading of the Kota Belud Arcade kugou and study urban traffic system. kugou
"This action plan is a gift to the citizens of the City Belud which will provide comprehensive services kugou and create a focal esplanade and a haven to more than 91,000 residents of the north west coast of Sabah such as Kota Marudu, Pitas, Matunggong, Banggi and Kudat," he said.
Meanwhile, he said freewifi services through cooperation of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia It allows about 9,000 people to improve access to the latest information and economic opportunities through free wifi with speeds of up to eight Mbps.
In the meantime, he said the ministry will help rebuild 38 homes of the poor who are sick, unsafe or inappropriate around Kota Belud under the Urban Poverty Eradication Programme.
Abdul Rahman also said that the ministry and the federal Department of Irrigation and Drainage and the state was trying to get an allocation of RM20 million from the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) to upgrade the river-Gurung Gurung to solve the problem of flooding.
